Digital Vision Sales & Business Development Manager

We have a full time first shift opportunity for a Digital Vision Sales & Business Development Manager. Photonis Defense, Inc. is looking to develop new business opportunities for low light level cameras in different industrial and scientific markets. The position requires the ability to develop strong customer relationships, a technical understanding of low light level applications and the ability to communicate on a technical level with customers and internal team members. This position collaborates with customers that are based in the US and Canada and will require working with engineering and inside sales account team to achieve customer satisfaction and grow revenue.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Key in this position is the ability to develop and manage a network of customers (manly OEMs) in civil (non-defense) markets, and to identify new potential applications and market for Photonis’ Digital Vision products.
• Generate, qualify, and manage all sales leads, prospects, and new customer accounts to meet/exceed agreed team and individual sales objectives
• Identify new potential applications for our family of low light level camera cores.
• Develop new business relationships as well as strengthening existing customer relationships.
• Setup and successfully demonstrate Photonis cameras to potential buyers, workshop and trade show attendees, and other activities for product exposure.
• Maintain and report, sales forecasts, potential sales, customer feedback, activity plan and other reports, as required.
• Determine and execute sales strategy for the territory.
• Provide accurate forecast data

 


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


• Four-year college degree in an Engineering or Physics discipline
• Successful Experience in the electro optical industry. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, business development or engineering work with scientific or industrial cameras preferred
• Strong background in business development in technical background, including relationship building, contract and terms review, complete customer interaction with multiple departments and functions • Proven success in key account relationship management
• Motivation to sell components to OEMs and follow all the entire sales process (cycles can take about 6 months to 2 years)
• Self-motivated and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills
• Autonomous, pro-active, persistent, team player
