ALD Engineer

As part of our commitment to excellence we are searching for a knowledgeable ALD Process Engineer to join our technical staff. In this role, you will partner with our R&D team to advance our ALD process. 

To be successful in this exciting role you should be able to demonstrate a depth of knowledge in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Metal Organic Chemistry, Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Microchannel Plate (MCP) technology, Thin Film Deposition and Semiconductor Process Development. .

What you’ll be doing… 

-    Work with R&D team to develop and optimize ALD process
-    Transfer process technology from R&D to Manufacturing
-    Ownership of ALD pilot production tools.
-    Process documentation and training of personnel. 
-    Develop SPC and DoE methods to achieve stable process at manufacturing scale.
-    Develop reliable PM and troubleshooting protocols for manufacturing equipment.
-    Interface with other stakeholders to ensure stable processing pipeline
-    Build and maintain strong relationship with R&D group, effectively implement continuous process improvements. 

What you’ll bring… 

-    Min BSc (with 10+ years of relevant experience) in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or similar, required
-    MSc or PhD (with 3-6 years of relevant experience) preferred. 
-    Experience/Track record with tech-transfer/process scale-up required
-    Experience with ALD technology and/or other coating processes such as PVD, CVD, MOCVD, preferred.
-    Experience with analytical techniques (XPS, SEM, 4PP, Spectroscopic Ellipsometry, etc. desired.
-    Hands-on tool operation, trouble shooting, PM, etc. preferred. 
-    Experience with Metal-organic precursors desired
-    Experience with vacuum equipment for thin film processing required
-    Experience with microchannel plate technology, electron amplifiers, PMT desired
-    SPC (statistical process control), DOE (Design of Experiment), and/or related statistical approaches preferred
